Mouse Without Borders is a free application from Microsoft which gives you the ability to control multiple Windows PCs across a network with a single mouse and keyboard. Setting it up is very easy and you can use it to control up to four computers. Simply install it on all the computers you wish to link and then use one system to generate a security key. You will then enter this security key on your other computers to link them.
I have personally found this piece of software to be very useful. I've used it to link my laptop to my main PC which is connected to an HDTV. When you reach the edge of the screen with your mouse, it just moves right on over to the next computer. Once you've clicked somewhere, your keyboard becomes active. This can be especially useful when you want to operate multiple computers while sitting at a desk without having to constantly switch back and forth between each machine's input devices.
